Subletting and short-term rentals
Why subletting needs written consent and short-term rentals are not allowed.
- Subletting part or all of your home is not allowed without the landlord's written consent.
- Short-term rentals (for example on Airbnb or Vrbo) are not permitted in any MAK Homes community.
- Unauthorized subletting or short-term renting is a breach of your lease and can lead to termination.
If you need to share your home, for example with a family member or a roommate, ask the management office to add them to your lease as an occupant. Adult occupants need to pass the standard screening. There is no fee to add an occupant.
